MKA Helps Sponsor One of Its' Members to Race In Daytona

James Rowen, an MKA member, drove the opening Koni Challenge Series race event for the 2008 season at Daytona International Speedway. James is a well-known local driver, winning multiple championships in the SCCA and serving as a driving instructor for the Porsche Club. He co-drove a fully race-prepped BMW 330i for Fountain Motor-sports out of New York, in the Fresh from Florida 200. He got a quick feel for the car and qualified to run the opening half of the 3 hour endurance race. The Fresh from Florida 200 was held the day prior to the famed Rolex 24 hour race on the same Daytona layout. James was able to return as a driver for another race in the 2008 series at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT. For those very few that have the talent and aspiration to pursue professional driving as a career, thank James for doing his part to help put Montana motor-sports on the map. Supporting his efforts today will only help the next driver develop contacts and opportunities sooner, through James's current efforts. He is more than happy to discuss his experiences with you, send him an email at jdrmotorsports@gmail.com
